Sweet Sunday

Good Morning San Diego,
It is a sweet Sunday Sunrise. A little bit of heaven in the worlds "Finest" city. 5:30am and the Cruise ships are sliding quietly into berth.

The sun is almost as far North as it is going to get. My sunrise shots are of more tree than city skyline these days.

Holy Sweet Sunday, Batgirl!!! This shot is for my friend Vicky, John's biggest fan and cake groupie. He baked all this week for an event on Friday. Strawberry Almond, Pineapple Coconut, Raspberry Walnut, Chocolate Heath Bar. What could be sweeter than that???

It's another grey start to a fab weekend. Watcha gonna do? Plant a flag to honor our fallen? Plant a pig in the fire to feed all your buds? Plant a flower to beautify our city? I think you should do "something!". Get up and out and outttta that funk. No newspapers or TV allowed, no trials, tribulations or the government THEOMANIA. Lets have a little TEMULENCY (but let someone else dirve), and then go get a little THELYPHTHORIC (but keep the curtains closed). In other words

Here is your sunrise, even if a little late, I was up early taking it, just a little slow on the uptake posting it...

Can you tell that the grey days do not excite me all that much? The first real sunrise we have next, you will hear the "hallelujah" from here.

To keep you coming back and not getting bored, I will post a couple of shots I took at Liberty Station, enjoy them while you can. The renovators are just a step behind me.

What??? No sunrise, again. So here are some sunsets in Japatul Valley just for you.

Foggy Top o' the morning to ya...



Nothin' shakin' on the bay, so I've sent you some "Bright Beaks" to check out. Other than their squawking, I like these wild Conure parrots that land in my yard about sunrise. The pictures are of the same parrots in Liberty Station this morning. The whole flock was eating the coral tree flowers like candy. The Humming Birds were not happy, as that is their territory, but they were no match today for the bigger aggressive parrots....

Ides Of March

Today is the Ides of March, pretty scary bad luck day. They say "beware the Ides of March" because of the way Ceasar was killed. So watch your best friend today. Things to look out for:

• White togas
• Roman Sandals
• Anyone who says "lets go check out the Forum"

I think I will be careful. My husband, John , (the chef) just had all his kitchen knives sharpened and delivered yesterday. You think that might be a red flag? What would I say? "Et tu cookie?"

This cruise ship couldnt wait to get out to sea....

Today is Mocha Torte Day, how do you go about getting your favorite dessert delared a National holiday day? Sweenten up to Congress? Ply them with chocolate? Threaten them with a Torte in the face? Who knows, with all the dessert people having Congress in their pocket, how can we ever go on a diet?????

When the weather is foggy and grey like this mornings hidden sunrise , does it make you want to bake,? go back to sleep? go play tennis? I wonder if someone can invent a way to do all three at the same time. Where I can sleep thru 2 sets of tennis where I dont miss a ball to wake up to a chocolate moca torte I baked coming hot out of the oven. Sounds good to me...

Helloooo....Is anybody out there? I can't see my face in front of my hands, or my hands in front of my face! Foghorn is lamenting, the seals are crooning and the sun is hiding. Will we see a sunrise? Hell no, will we bundle up? Hell yessss....anything under 70 degrees is damn cold for my Sunny Diego Self. Bundle up and enjoy your Friday. Fog Bank

Today is another foggy boggy Wednesday. May Grey go away, how can I entertain my guests with pictures of a wet blanket? So I will give you a cheery photo to wake you up a little. I took this at the corner of Nimitz and W. Point Loma in Ocean beach. This is an eye popping color riot in person, installed and created by the Point Loma Association Beautification Project. Not a bad job, I would say.... The old army green electrical box is completely hidden.

Good Morning Sunrise

Sunrise on the "Big Bay", our grey days are gone for a while. Just until tomorrow when our "May Grey" is to start, but we already had that so May-be we will get lucky and have our favorite Son- Sun back ...

Today is National Hot Dog Day and Take A Walk In the Park Day so I think you can do both, if you can eat and walk at the same time.

Crusin in with the sunrise. Two big Cruise ships back to back. Coming back from Mexico after a tourist stop at Pedros Pig Palace. Watch out SD, as BBBO says "wash your hands children".
